PNG and MNG support are not complete in the current releases of the popular web browsers as of this writing. Specifically, all the current browsers will support still images stored as PNG files, and they have limited support for PNG images with transparency. Not all of them feature complete MNG animation support.

The Export to SWF function of PNG/MNG Construction Set gets around the lack of browser MNG support to some extent. It will create files compatible with Macromedia Flash™, which are supported by the current web browsers.
